Kulanga B. Charles

Ah you've found my home on VOX, WELCOME! Thank you for taking the time to drop by. I am a performance poet/writer/artist who has been entertaining audiences in Canada for the past two decades. I was born on the beautiful island of Grenada in the Caribbean. I immigrated to Montreal in 1980, to further my studies. I attended The Arts Institute of Cosmetology(1980- 1982) and Concordia University . (B.A political Science 1992 1994). I am a wife, and mother of two daughters and two grandsons. I have been self employed for twenty seven years managing my own beauty salon, but in 2005, I took early retirement to focus my time fully on my writing and my painting career. I am the author of the book of poems "SLAVE SPIRIT SPEAKS" published 1992 by Kulanga Productions. Producer of "THE CALL" ( spoken word, cassette 1995 ) and "KABAKAJAH", a CD of inspirational poetry and music, produced in 1998, by Kulanga Productions .
